Iron casting (graphite flake cast iron, spheroidal graphite iron, special alloyed cast iron).

Founding of cast iron at the plant is done in induction crucible furnaces. First the furnaces are loaded with scrap metal and then a strictly regulated amount of alloying substances is added, after which the metal is heated till the needed temperature – and soon it is ready to be “served.”

Then, cast iron is poured first into a 1,000 kg bull ladle and then into a magnetodynamic plant. Further, after equalising, it is poured into casting ladles. It is impossible not to be lost in admiration for the avalanche of melted metal being tamed and guided by man’s confident hand.

Coated chill casting


The main products of the enterprise, casts of cylinder liners, are manufactured in chill mould casting wheels. The main secret of the production of a Lida cylinder liner is the method of pouring cast iron into a metal chill mould, the surface of which is covered with a thermoactive blend of sand and organic tar. This is a precise method that helps avoid further machining of the water jacket, leave its casting skin untouched, and thus improve heat-conducting properties and lower the risk of corrosion.

Shell mould casting

Casting into shell moulds is one of the technological processes of manufacturing casts with clean and even surfaces and reaching the precision of sizes conforming to 7-13 quality classes. Shell half-moulds are made on a special stand where they bake, after which they are assembled into forms. Apart from having exact sizes, shell moulds have low roughness of working surface, high durability and gas permeability, do not either absorb moisture or crumble, and can be stored for a long time.

Сenter die casting

Center die casting is a way of casting where the melt is subjected to centrifugal forces while it is being poured into a mould as well as while it is congealing and cooling down. The main advantage of center die casting is that casts come out solid and without gas holes, sinkholes, or mircoporosity.

Forming casting

Hand forming is applied in individual and small-scale production as well as in the manufacturing of particularly big casts. Its characteristic feature is that it allows a wide variety of methods and ways of forming, which makes it possible to produce casts of different constructions. Our enterprise uses floor moulding and box moulding.

Aluminium casting

Nowadays, aluminium casting is used mainly in the production of items needed for the plant’s own functioning and manufacturing. Aluminium has a low density as well as high electroconductivity and thermal conductivity, is easy to forge and stamp when both hot and cold, and can be used in deep drawing.
Out enterprise, however, can produce custom-made aluminium items according to the customer’s wishes.
